Known in the industry as a "workhorse" distillery, its meaty and heavy spirit rarely gets independent single malt bottling. This un-chill filtered, naturally coloured expression completely strips back the curtain on the distillery's ester-heavy character, driving a massive wave of waxy, high-proof tropical fruits directly to the palate.

Tasting Notes

Nose: An immediate, wonderfully funky hit of concentrated tropical orchard fruit. It opens with rich notes of caramelized pineapple chunks, grilled mangoes, and sweet banana bread. As the high ABV opens up, it unearths background hints of beeswax, damp green leaves, and a warming prickle of ginger root.

Palate: Thick, waxy, and exceptionally mouth-coating. The 58.4% cask strength drops a heavy layer of pineapple upside-down cake, rich lemon curd, and floral honey. It quickly develops a robust savory frame on the mid-palate, introducing fresh green wood, white pepper, and old-school candle wax.

Finish: Long, oily, and satisfyingly dry. The rich tropical sugars gradually transform into a structured wave of drying oak tannins, toasted walnuts, crystalized ginger, and a final, lingering note of waxy apple skins.
