Following the success of the 20-year-old Port expression from previous years, this younger bottling takes the Springbank spirit in an exotic, high-intensity direction by opting for a full-term maturation in fresh Madeira wood.

At 54.1% ABV, it is a vibrant, "dirty," and expressive dram that captures the quintessential Campbeltown funk through a vinous, oxidative lens.

Tasting Notes

• Nose: Classic "Springbank Funk." Initial hits of rhubarb stalk, leather, and engine oil are quickly followed by brandy sultanas and a deep fruit compote. There is an earthy, "dirty" quality here—think damp leaves and campfire remnants.

• Palate: Intense and sweet. A wave of blackberries and raspberries leads into tinned peach syrup and vanilla custard. The mid-palate reveals the Madeira's spice: cracked black pepper, chili chocolate, and a hint of Red Kola.

• Finish: Long and mineral. It moves into clay and sea salt, finishing with a drying tannic grip of prunes and tobacco.
