At such a young age, the interaction between the heavy, oily Springbank distillate and the active sherry wood is incredibly intense, creating a "Sherry Bomb" that still retains the distillery’s signature industrial funk.

Tasting Notes

Nose: An explosive start of rich, dark fruits—think stewed plums, raisins, and balsamic-glazed cherries. Beneath the heavy sherry lies the classic Springbank character: engine oil, damp earth, and a whiff of a blacksmith’s forge. There’s a sweet/savory balance like salted caramel and barbecued meats.

Palate: Thick, syrupy, and incredibly powerful. The entry is a wave of dark chocolate, espresso beans, and clove spice. The "funk" arrives mid-palate with notes of dunnage floors, leather, and a salty, coastal soot. Despite the 57.1% ABV, it is remarkably drinkable, though a drop of water opens up more red berry sweetness.
